'Comhaltas Corafinne' Play at Social Club

he young musicians from 'Comhaltas Corafinne' provided fantastic traditional Irish music at our Social Club this week. The multi-award winning musicians, who have recently won their 3rd All Ireland title, performed to an excited audience for 2 hours. Responding to some requests from the audience, the group played a mix of traditional Irish jigs ands reels and waltzes.

It's always a sign of a successful event when the audience decides to dance along, as was the case, when a dance space was quickly formed to accommodate the dancing enthusiasts! Several members of the audience also joined in by performing a few songs with 'Comhaltas Corafinne'.

The sincere thanks from everyone at the Croí na Gaillimhe Resource Centre go to our Community Gardaí and to the 'Comhaltas Corafinne' for their time and efforts. We all had an amazing afternoon and look forward to working together again.

For some more photos from the event check out our photo page.

Social Club

Our Social Club continues on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm onwards. Yesterday, we had a lovely surprise when our Community Gardaí accompanied several musicians from the Comhaltas Corafinne music group. The musicians were absolutely fantastic and everyone really enjoyed their performance. We're excited about the group returning to the club on Wednesday 25th September for a longer peformance. Don't miss out! Come along for music, chat and plenty of fun at 2pm.

Popular Tea Dance Continues

Croí na Gaillimhe held our 2nd monthly 'Tea Dance' on Friday 6th August at out Resource Centre on Mill Street. We were delighted to welcome the return of popular accordian player John Fallon, who kept our audience dancing all afternoon! John was accompanied on Friday by Henry Geraghty, who sang played some wonderful traditional music. We are now looking forward to our next Tea Dance which will take place on Friday 3rd September at 2pm.
