Young Hearts is an inclusive, Intergenerational project, which is the result of a
collaboration between Galway Community College and Croí na Gaillimhe Resource Centre.
It is in its 6th year and is funded by GCC and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
Transition year students and older adults meet weekly and participate in a wide variety of activities to address issues such as isolation and loneliness. The participants come from all over the world and this year 14 nationalities are represented.
The project strives to create a mutually respectful environment where each person is valued and creativity and self confidence develop.
