Mosaic in the garden

Mosaic in the Garden at the Eglinton Hostel

This project by Croí na Gaillimhe was coordinated by our  amazing volunteer Una Murphy and Loretta Needham (Manager Croí na Gaillimhe ).  The project was open to all the residents in the Eglinton Direct Provision Hostel to brighten up the garden space in the hostel for the children and the adults to enjoy. It really add so much to the space and the children and adults alike really enjoyed the process and the finished design is even better than we could ever have imagined. Big thanks to all the residents that took part.

Mens social Club outing

Mens Social Club morning outing the the ''NCT for Men'' in Mervue

We headed to the local Health & Fitness Day. Many of us availed of the various free health tests and checks. This 'NCT for All Men' was the perfect opportunity to learn more about addressing preventable health problems.
Especially the information stalls highlighting the important connection between physical   and mental health (including the dedicated cancer awareness unit) were really good.

Afterwards we got a nice cup of tea and chatted with friends.
Our new city mayor also came by to say hello.
Before our departure we played some energizing flying disc (frisbee) games outside.
Join us, it's free. We meet every Thursday 3pm - 5pm at Croi na Gaillime on                         1 Mill Street in Galway.
No prior booking necessary, just come along - all men are welcome!
